Red line in camera

It has been fantastic so far but on Friday when shooting some video a red line appeared in the back side camera picture. It is not the LCD itself and is not in the front facing camera only the rear facing camera. RIM tech support worked with me and had me send a photo. They said it looked like a software issue and had me reload the OS through my PC but the red line still persists. It looks like a bad line of pixels in the CMOS sensor in the back facing camera. It could also be a software issue as in high ISO/low light conditions the line disappears but in bright light the line is very prominent.
