Despite Kodak filing for bankruptcy and planning to sell its digital camera business, Bloombergreported that Apple asked permission from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to sue Kodak over patent infringement related to digital cameras, printers, and digital picture frames. Apple seems to be disabling Siri on unsupported devices, Spire
Apple usually disables jailbreaks in new software releases. That is part of the reason why it took so long for Absinthe to debut for the iPhone 4S. It appears that Apple is also trying to break Siri running on unsupported devices, such as the iPhone 4. Many people who use Spire, the popular Siri port for the iPhone 4, have reported Siri is now disabled on their unsupported device. Has another cat and mouse game begun?
Historically, to get Siri working on an older device, you only need a server host and an iPhone 4S certificate. However, Apple apparently added a “SetActivationToken” that breaks services like Spire.

ChinaTimes: Apple said to have ordered 65 million 264PPI Retina displays from LG and Samsung for iPad 3
The iPad 3 is expected to be announced the first week of March — rumored March 7th — with a 2,048 by 1, 536-pixel Retina display, quad-core A6 processor, improved cameras and now LTE chip. The over-all design of the tablet is expected to remain the same, but the big new feature here will obviously be the new Retina display. LG and Samsung have been rumored to be manufacturing the display. ChinaTimes is out with a new report this evening saying that Apple has ordered a whopping 65 million 264PPI Retina displays from both LG and Samsung. Both have reportedly already begun production. It isn’t clear if this number includes orders from Sharp, who is also rumored to be building displays from the iPad 3.
For comparison, Apple ordered 40 million displays for the iPad 2. Today’s report indicates a substantial 60-70% increase over iPad 2. If these reports are true, Apple is thinking big for their new tablet.

How to install Siri on the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch using SiriPort
1. Open up Cydia, navigate to the Manage tab, and tap Sources. Tap the Edit button in the top right corner, followed by the Add button in the top left corner. Add the following repository in the text field that appears:http://repo.siriport.ru
3. When SiriPort is finished installing, you will need to reboot your device. 4. When your device powers back on, navigate to the following address in Safari: siriport.ru/1.crt
5. Follow the onscreen instructions in Safari and download the “certificate” that is displayed after going to the above address.
6. Reboot your device. Go to Settings, navigate to the Siri menu, and turn it ON.
Keep trying to use Siri repeatedly, even if you get errors or apology statements claiming that Siri can’t work right now or is encountering problems processing your request. If you are patient, and keep trying, you will notice that Siri eventually starts listening to you. I was able to get Siri working in about thirty to forty minutes, but timing will vary. Again, many users have been successful so don’t give up or you won’t get Siri working.
2. Hit add source and it will now refresh your sources . Once that is done, Navigate to the Search tab in Cydia and search for SiriPort. Once you’ve found SiriPort, tap the Install button in the top right corner. This might take anywhere between 10-30 mins depending on your internet speed.
3. When SiriPort is finished installing, you will need to reboot your device. 4. When your device powers back on, navigate to the following address in Safari: siriport.ru/1.crt

United States Air Force plan purchase of up to 18,000 iPads for flight bag replacements
In December of last year, the first commercial airline pilots began to take iPads into cockpits as a replacement to the traditional flight bag. This followed the Federal Aviation Administration’s initial approval and testing of the device. Now, a recent report from Nextgov (via TabTimes) claimed the United States Air Force’s Air Mobility Command plans to buy up to 18,000 iPads. The proof comes from a notice posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website that claimed the AMC planned to buy “a minimum of 63 and a maximum of 18,000″ iPad 2s.
iPad 3 won’t include quad-core processor?
Immediately after those purported iPad 3 back-shell photos broke loose, The Verge claimed Apple’s next-generation tablet would not include a rumored quad-core processor. The Verge‘s report contradicts findings inside beta builds of iOS 5.1 and a report from the typically accurate Bloomberg. While The Verge said the next iPad would be dual core, it also said the iPad 3 would sport an improved GPU. This new graphics processor would likely make the rumored huge Retina Display run smoothly. We deduced from earlier reports that the processor is code named “S5L8945X,” and it comes out of Samsung, who is busy working on both dual and quad-core processors for its own devices.
Logitech takes a page from the Magic Mouse playbook for its new touch mouse M600

We are so in love with Logitech’s new touch-sensitive Touch Mouse M600 that it would most likely be a replacement if we broke our mouse. Akin to Apple’s Magic Mouse and Microsoft’s Explorer Touch Mouse, the M660 is all about gestures and touch. It also looks great with its sleek design and smooth curvature. Moreover, just like Apple’s mouse, the M600 lets you swipe, scroll, and flip through pages, bookmarks, and websites. The device fetches $70 and it will be available in the United States and Europe beginning in February 2012…
